As managing partner of sustainability for MindClick SGM, Heather Gadonniex offers a wealth of knowledge and expertise in how to “green” a business, providing clients with clarity about the rapidly evolving and often confusing sustainability ecoverse. She specializes in helping companies understand how their products, operations and policies perform compared with leading sustainability standards and what’s required for them to build fully sustainable – not “greenwashed” – brands.
Ms. Gadonniex has been entrenched in the sustainable business and green marketplace for a decade, working in the corporate and non-profit sectors. Before establishing MindClick SGM, she founded Green It Group – a change management firm focused on helping organizations develop, measure, manage and market their sustainability initiatives. She also served as the Sustainability and Marketing Director for Timbron International, which won awards for its efforts in corporate and product sustainability. Previously, she worked for Conservation Consultants, Inc. and The Green Building Alliance, where she spent time educating the public on sustainability, green building and implementing the LEED rating system. Ms. Gadonniex views sustainability problem solving through a global lens, having worked on incorporating sustainable tourism into the Island of Koh Lanta, Thailand and implementing sustainable farming techniques for desertification prevention in Africa.
Ms. Gadonniex holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Sustainable Development from the University of Pittsburgh. She is a Build It Green certified green building professional and a LEED® Accredited Professional, along with serving as a member of the Sustainable Furnishings Council standards committee. Ms. Gadonniex recently managed and facilitated the creation of the first Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) in the countertop industry for Vetrazzo – one of the first three companies in any industry to publish an EPD in the U.S. A noted lecturer and writer on sustainability and green practices, Ms. Gadonniex is co-author (with Trish Riley) of “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Greening Your Business.”
